After almost a semester of blogging, I’ve come to realized that keeping a blog up-to-date is like trying to quench the burning fires of hell; with a miniscule teaspoon if I might add. There is so much to type, yet so little time. The worst thing is, the more you procrastinate, the higher that damned fire gets- and I think the teaspoon gets smaller too.
SRC- Student Representative Council. Sounds so posh right? Posh my ass. Some people think that just because we are SRC members, we can walk on water. Hah!! I wish. Listen up guys, here’s a secret. We are just ordinary people. But mostly, we are ordinary people under extraordinary stress. Let’s not bore you with all the details, but suffice to say, SRC has its up’s and down’s.

The up’s? Well, you get to be involved and organize the coolest things- right up, front and centre. The sense of accomplishment one gets on a job well down comes close to euphoria.
The semester in review…

The clues. By the by, that's Thazin's hot long legs. Haha!! Kudos to her for giving me the idea.

Just for those of you hidden underneath the ‘hearltess’ and ‘eternally dammed’ rock, IMU has recently ‘adopted’ an Orang Asli village. This is an ongoing project mediated by SRC and is dear to all of us. Those who were involved in the project took much more (in experience) than the denizens ever did from us.

If you were in Uni during the 6th-10th of August, you’ll have noticed the pictures we displayed in the Atrium. I’ve just realized that I forgot to give credits to our photographer. Since there’s no time like the present… *Clears throat*. Shout out to our budding photographer- Chung Wei from the M107 batch, who has graciously allowed us to plagiarize his work. Haha!! Visit his blog
I guess that’ll satisfy the copyright law. :-D

The children there were so cool. I truly hope that they had fun that day. Thanks to Avinder who organized the whole thing. Oh, let’s just mention that our team (Me, David, Swarna, and Wei Chun) won the ‘who can build the tallest building using straws’ game. It reached the ceiling ok. Maybe should have pursued a career in architecture. I am sure a building that looked like___ would be very interesting; please feel free to use your imagination in filling the blanks.

Since no one answered the call for the Ministry of Youth outing, ALL of the SRC members were forced to attend. Huhuh!! *Mentally kills Kajen and drags his ___(insert imagination here) across the tarmac.* It was very interesting though. Got to meet some interesting juniors; whose names I cant really recall now, but that’s beside the point. We also got to see some captivating band performances as well as our Deputy Prime Minister from far far far away.

Monday, the 6th of August was the inaugural launch of the Connexion; a news system made by the students, for the students. The first edition was made by Aaron and Mui How using SRC members as actors. I am afraid that they were the only one patient enough to handle our fussy director (Kajen). I am equally sure that they did some psychological brutal murders involving Kajen’s various internal organs themselves. Hopefully, some talented students would take the mantle and handle the filming/acting. We have enough on our plates to worry about :-D

We were happy with the turn out though. With a bit of luck, our little stunt with the Gold Class and the bow ties would remain faded in living memory.
Oh bollocks. Just realized that this is getting way too long. As long as ___ (ok ok I’ll stop that, Haha!!) Anyway, getting wee excited for my Tioman Trip tommorrow. I’ll blog about that soon, I promise.
Till then, I bid you farewell. Goodnight and sleep well.
Ok ok. I know I haven’t blog for a while now. SO, to commemorate Debbo’s 20th Buffday, I thought I’ll start updating with her birthday post.
‘The universe, having perfected its existence through eons of evolution; now exists for the sole purpose of providing a place for Debbi’s legs to rest’
Since Debbo will blog about her birthday outings, I’ll decide to just ‘curi’ her entries where it concerns me. :-D
